LONCOCHICO LAKE HOUSE
Hidden among native forest on the shores of Loncochico, a quiet inlet of Lago Lonconao, The Lake House is more than a cabin: it's our home, lovingly restored by hand over the past years.
Just 10 minutes from Futaleufú village and 20 minutes from the famous Puente a Puente section of the Futaleufú River, it offers the perfect balance between convenience and complete privacy. Surrounded by forest, mountains, and water, it's a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience Patagonia beyond the usual tourist route.
The Lake House is where our kayak trips begin and where the stories continue after the river. It's where we host guests during our multi-day clinics and expeditions, and it's also available as a vacation rental for anyone looking to discover Futaleufú at their own pace.

The Patagonian Cabin
_______________
The cabin comfortably accommodates up to 7 guests across three bedrooms:
-
One double bedroom
-
One twin bedroom
-
One three-bed room
It also features two bathrooms and a kitchen and living area designed for slow breakfasts and shared dinners.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stovetop, refrigerator, and cookware. On colder days, the traditional wood-burning stove becomes the heart of the house, filling the space with warmth after a day outside.

Built by Hand, Lived In with Love
This isn't a rental that was built to become a business.
It's our home.
Over the past years we've restored and rebuilt it ourselves, one project at a time.
Every room has evolved through countless hours of work, and many of the tables, beds, shelves, and pieces of furniture were designed and handcrafted by us using local wood.
The result isn't perfect in the polished, hotel sense—and that's exactly what makes it special. It's warm, authentic, and full of character. A place that reflects the way we live in Patagonia. Every improvement was made with one goal in mind: creating a place we'd love to come back to after a day on the river.

Not Just a Place to Stay
________________
This cabin has been our home for years. It's where we welcome friends, host paddlers from around the world, and enjoy the quiet rhythm of Patagonia.
Our small flock of sheep is looked after by Saga, our Great Pyrenees, who has become part of the character of The Lake House.
Whether you're coming to paddle the Futaleufú, explore the Carretera Austral, or simply disconnect for a few days, we hope you'll feel at home here too.
The Lake House offers comfortable Futaleufú accommodation for kayakers, families and anyone looking to experience Patagonia at a slower pace.
We didn't build this place for tourism, we built it because we wanted to live here. Sharing it with others came naturally.

________________
The cabin sits within a 20-hectare property that we've slowly pieced together over the years, not to develop it, but to preserve the landscape we fell in love with.
When we first discovered this place, we fell in love with its quiet forests, untouched shoreline, and the feeling of having Patagonia all around us. As the valley has gradually grown, we've chosen a different path:
keeping this corner of Patagonia as close to its natural state as possible.
Wander through native forest, watch our sheep grazing by the lake, follow private trails beneath ancient trees, or simply sit on the deck and listen to nothing but birds and the wind.
It's not a resort. It's simply the way we choose to live, and we're happy to share it with those who appreciate slow travel, wild places, and the simple beauty of Patagonia.
